Chainbase is a leading Web3 blockchain interaction layer infrastructure. By providing cloud-based API services, it helps developers quickly access and utilize blockchain networks and easily build Web3 applications.

Chainbase makes blockchain interaction and data query/index on chains simple and easy to operate. It currently supports Ethereum, Polygon, BSC, Fantom, Avalanche, Arbitrum, and other chains. Anyone can use, build and publish open APIs, which allows developers to focus on application-level innovation instead of spending unproductive time on operational and maintenance issues.

By working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and AWS APN advanced consulting partner, Goclouds Data, during its product development, Chainbase has created products to solve the issue of “how to interact with the blockchain networks”. Goclouds Data is a high-tech company focusing on AWS cloud management and cloud services. It provided Chainbase with a highly-available, low-cost, high-performance, and highly scalable architecture based on AWS. Goclouds Data helped Chainbase implement its workloads onto the AWS cloud, assisted Chainbase with its cloud migration, providing mature solutions and a high-standard service level.

These services include a Chain RPC (Remote Procedure Call) API service that support multi-chain nodes, Web3 API service that can be quickly applied to business application scenarios, and a one-stop developer toolkit, Data Cloud Warehouse. The warehouse provides the client with parsed event tables that allow analyzed data to be called directly, allowing the SQL functionality with customized requirements to be realized, greatly reducing repetitive work for developers.

AWS also serves as the foundation for Chainbase’s API marketplace, with its mature services, stable operation, and globally distributed nodes. This lets developers navigate and easily connect to Chainbase via the Web3 world.

Web3 Interaction Layer Infrastructure that Supports Multi-Chain

“We are building a multi-chain, real-time, online Web3 blockchain interaction layer infrastructure”, says Mogu, CEO, Chainbase. “Through Chainbase's massive APIs and open Data Cloud Warehouse, developers can access to the blockchain world in one go, directly calling various data types and generating APIs using SQL. During the implementation of our underlying architecture, a large number of data storage, query and computing resources were required. For this, we needed an established cloud service provider.”

Mogu adds: “More than 80 percent of our team are engineers. Technology serves as a core competitive edge, where we provide a complete set of services for rapidly-developing Web3 projects. We attach great importance to the stability, security and efficiency of cloud computing. AWS is a leading cloud infrastructure provider, with sufficient guarantees for stability and security, and it provides a mature infrastructure environment for Chainbase.”

Distributed Nodes Provide Stable Services

Through AWS CloudFront, Chainbase can call cloud infrastructures nearby in real time for global users, reducing the cost of remote access and ensuring the availability and stability of cloud services.

The wide geographical distribution of AWS CloudFront also makes the response of each node swift, with clear performance advantages. In this regard, Chainbase has continuously adjusted its product logic, testing response speeds, and achieving sub-second-level responses. The high-availability solution helps maintain uptime of 99.999 percent and more. As a result, Chainbase has reported good user experience.

User-Friendly Flexible Pricing

While testing on AWS, Chainbase engineers found that AWS employs a very reasonable and flexible pricing model, which lets them reduce cost while retaining the ability to expand business anytime and anywhere.

Bruce Lee, head of Big Data at Chainbase, says, “For us, speed and stability is a top priority, and cost flexibility is next. We want to reduce costs as much as possible. This ensures the integrity of blockchain data and the rapid response of popular functions; it also lets us quickly realize the rapid growth of new business opportunities and business expansion.”

By removing cost concerns early, Chainbase’s developers can now leverage various AWS development tools and focus on product research and improvement.

Transitioning smoothly from Web2 to Web3

Today, Chainbase provides global users with secure, stable, and high-speed data services. This has built a bridge for tens of millions of developers to transition from Web2 to Web3, ensuring a smooth user experience, and achieving low-cost developer migration.

Mogu concludes: “Through AWS, we have saved a lot of time and energy. It allows our engineering team to focus on the business. We look forward to the continued good partnership between Chainbase and AWS in the future, and together, provide Web3 developers with better infrastructure and development experience.”
